Super Mario Bros. Wonder is an upcoming platform game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch. It is the first traditional side-scrolling Super Mario game since New Super Mario Bros. U (2012) and is scheduled to be released on October 20, 2023. <br Super Mario Bros. Wonder is a side-scrolling platform game. As one of eight player characters—Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Toad, Toadette, Nabbit and Yoshi—the player completes levels across the Flower Kingdom with assistance from its talking flower-like denizens. Similar to prior Super Mario games, players guide their character to the end of a level while avoiding enemies (such as Goombas and Piranha Plants) and transporting through Warp Pipes. Each stage contains multiple collectible “Wonder Seeds”. The game supports local multiplayer for up to four players. Prince Florian invites Mario and his friends to visit him, but a known enemy then appears by surprise! While his army spoils the party for our heroes, Bowser takes possession of a Wonder Flower and merges with Prince Florian’s castle, transforming into a floating fortress. Choose your favorite character and dive headlong into the adventure. There are 12 available, the most ever in a Super Mario game! A new feature sees players equip badges, which give players different perks, unlocked throughout the game. They are divided in three different types: Action Badges that grant an additional ability to the player character, Boost Badges which give the player character an additional passive ability, and Expert Badges which grant an advanced skill to the player character. Some online multiplayer functionality is also supported. BADGES TO GIVE AND TAKE Badges are key to unlocking unique skills and rewards that can be used at each level. You can earn badges by completing badge challenges, or purchase them from certain Poplin shops scattered around the map. You can equip one badge per level, even when playing in company. Try different badges at different levels to find the one that best suits you!
